Purchasing & Accounts Assistant

Coker Engineering have an exciting opportunity for you to become our new Purchasing and Accounts assistant.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Purchase Ledger management, with an end to end purchasing process
  • Account’s data entry – currently in Sage 50 Professional
  • Answering the phone, directing calls, and dealing with the messages received.
  • Contacting suppliers to resolve delivery and invoice queries.
  • Placing orders both over the phone and via email to support the production team
  • Monthly credit card reconciliation
  • Collating required information when needed
  • Filling and archiving
  • Time clock analysis

Essential Skills

  • Experience with end to end purchasing process
  • Sage or accounting software experience
  • Good customer service skills
  • Experience within an engineering industry ideally or manufacturing
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Able to negotiate prices
  • Ability to problem solve and prioritise work load

Desirable Skills

  • AAT Training or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Share Point and other Office 365 Apps

Salary ranges up to £25,000 depending on experience.

Working hours:

Monday – Thursday 08.00 – 17.00

Friday 08.00 – 14.00

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £25,000.00 per year
