Quality Manager

We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to head up our in-house quality control department. The successful candidate will take responsibility for all matters quality related, to ensure that our products and services meet all necessary requirements before they are released to our customers.
The Quality Manager will get involved in the physical inspection of product to make sure it has been manufactured to a high standard, both in terms of dimensional accuracy, and aesthetics, therefore an eye for detail is essential.

A complete understand of precision engineering is essential, including; the use of metrology equipment, understanding technical drawings & tolerances, the development of processes and procedures to drive continuous improvement in all aspects of quality control, and a full understanding of the responsibility we hold to our customers.
The goal is to preserve & enhance our reputation for top tier quality & on-time delivery performance, thereby ensuring that our products and services are of a standard which will further facilitate the substantial on-going growth of the business.

Responsibilities

• Head up the development & implementation of our ISO9001 QMS
• Devise and review specifications for procedures, and product specific controls
• Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
• Supervise inspectors, technicians, and other staff, and provide; guidance, feedback, & training
• Inspect & verify final output
• Drive an ethos of absolute quality performance throughout the business
• Maintain accurate documentation & traceability systems
• Compile & submit detailed reports to management, & customers when required
• Continuous sustainable improvement of new & existing quality procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience within a senior quality role
• Experience within a precision engineering environment
• In depth understanding of ISO 9001 quality control procedures
• Understanding of record keeping, including an awareness for the need of full tractability
• Conscientious and responsible
• A keen eye for detail and a results driven approach
• Great communication skills
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
